Parking costs USD 15 per night, a nice savings over cruise port parking. You are probably okay to fly same day if you are coming from Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco, or Sacramento. However, from these cities, you could as easily make the drive and pay for parking at the cruise port. Los Angeles is a popular cruise port for the millions of Americans living within a few hours’ drive or a short flight from L.A. It’s also favored by anyone living on the West Coast (including Canadians like us!).

Shared van services operating from LAX include Primetimeshuttle and Supershuttle. With so many movie stars to cater for, there is no shortage of shopping on offer in Los Angeles. From boutique stores to high street favourites, LA has all shopping requirements covered. There will typically be taxis waiting at the terminal, especially during peak embarkation and disembarkation times but if not you can give one of our recommendations a call. This is so common that many credit card machines now even have buttons with 15% / 18% / 20% on them so it will calculate the tip for you if you choose that option. You are always given the option to select the amount you’d like to tip, or you can opt not to put the tip on your card and give a cash tip instead.

Many of the big-name cruise companies, along with manysmaller operations, operate out of the Los Angeles World Cruise Center. Thereare too many companies to talk about each one individually, so instead, we’veprovided a list.
Fortunately, the cost of parking is standardized across the Port of Los Angeles. Your first hour is free, but each additional hour costs $2.00.There are daily maximums as well, in case you’re leaving a vehicle parked during your cruise. The terminal is 23 miles (37 km) from the Los Angeles International Airport. Expect to pay USD 65+ for a taxi from LAX and USD 35 from Long Beach Airport. Crowne Plaza Hotel Los Angeles Harbor – It’s under a mile from the cruise port and a favorite among cruisers. The Crowne Plaza provides a port shuttle if needed and has an inhouse restaurant.
Renting a car provides you with the flexibility to access more activities and destinations within a short drive, allowing you to optimize your time in this vibrant region. Cafes and some restaurants may provide free wifi to customers. In San Pedro, there is a Von's Supermarket at 1221 S Gaffey St (at 13th Ave) and a Ralph's Supermarket further north at 1050 N Western Ave (with a In-n-Out Burger in the same complex). There is an Ocean Liquor Market at 233 N Harbor Blvd across the street from the cruise terminal.
The Los Angeles World Cruise Center terminal does not provide wheelchairs. If you require wheelchair assistance to board the ship, make sure to arrange with your cruise line in advance. The next closest Amtrak train service is at Union Station in Los Angeles, which is a 30-minute drive or an hour and a half Amtrak bus ride.
If driving your own car, you can pay to park during your cruise for approx. As a result, for a 7-day cruise, expect to pay USD 161 or more. Next, take the 710 Freeway to the end at the Long Beach Cruise Port. On the rare occasion, San Pedro sees three ships which can’t dock at these two terminals.
